running a Nutrition and Weight Management Programme
towards the end of the year.

My motivation to do this stems from a great interest in
the body and personal, family, friends and clients
experiences along with the way we operate in society
today.
What you’ll find in this programme is a new way of
looking at food, (or an old way depending on how you
look at it) I have no interest in presenting a typical
“medical” approach to “supposed” healthy eating and this
will Not be a typical “slimming club”, but more of an
informal group get together to discuss various aspects
of health, nutrition, food and exercise.
My intention is to empower you with amazing insight into
how your body operates at the cellular level and how
every single food you put in your mouth either enlivens
or drains you!
You will learn some principles which may seem absolutely
unconventional to what you’ve been told, what your kids
get told, what you see in the media and newspapers. And
that’s great! I want you to keep an open mind about what
I’m sharing with you and come to your own conclusion
about what is “really” healthy or not.
We need to be aware that not all information we hear is
correct and much of it will be rubbish, especially food
claims on processed foods…..I’m not going to tell you
that I’m correct; I just want to give you my opinion and
help you to make up your own mind, as I have.
I will cover areas such as:
* Body Composition (your weight, body fat%, water,
muscle, internal body fat, metabolic rate etc.
* How our body uses food for energy
* Macro-Nutrients (carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins)
* Trace elements (vitamins and minerals)
* Food additives and processing
* Reading and understanding food labels
* Benefits of exercise (resistance and aerobic training)
* Why posture is important.
Plus much more, there will also be time to answer any
questions you may have as we work over the different
subjects
I hope to hold the sessions at St Martins School on
Pastures way in Luton after our Pilates class on a
Thursday evening and possibly a session at Eaton Bray
village hall after our class on a Tuesday morning.
